History Made Modern.
Nestled in Duxbury’s historic & quaint Snug Harbor, the Winsor House Inn is rich with history—a long-time favorite for locals who love our charm and flavor.
The Winsor House Inn has been a fixture in Duxbury since 1803 when it Nathaniel Winsor Jr. built it as a wedding gift for his daughter. It remained a private home until 1932 when Daniel Winsor converted it into an inn. Over the years the business changed hands several times until 2013 when two generations of a Duxbury family who were neighbors to the property became the new owners of the Winsor House Inn.
Husband and wife, Chuck Weilbrenner and Holly Safford, and their sons, Andrew and Alex Marconi, respect the rich history of this community treasure. Holly and her sons also own The Catered Affair, a Boston-area based culinary, event, and hospitality authority—so they had the expertise to create a vibrant, yet cozy atmosphere where their customers can enjoy a delectable meal.
Since 2013, The Winsor House Inn has become one of the South Shore’s most notable establishments, offering contemporary New England cuisine in an historic & idyllic setting.
